InterAct Reading Service
InterAct Reading Service is the only UK charity dedicated to supporting stroke recovery by using professional actors to deliver a live and interactive reading service to people who have had a stroke. The charity currently reads in 21 hospitals and over 49 stroke clubs in the UK. InterAct Reading Service works to improve the rate and quality of an individual's recovery from a stroke by improving mood, alleviating post-stroke depression, increasing self-esteem, boosting communication confidence, stimulating the brain and providing entertainment.

Royal College of Physicians (RCP) Stroke Programme
The RCP Stroke programme hosts the Intercollegiate Stroke Working Party, made up of representatives of all the organisations which support the different disciplines involved in the management of stroke across the country and patient organisations. The Stroke Programme undertakes development, updating and coordination of guidelines, patient information and clinical audit. Key functions are the RCP peer review service, the National Sentinel Stroke Audit and the SINAP real-time acute stroke audit system.

The Stroke Specialist Library aims to support people working in the field of stroke by facilitating access to high quality, appraised, evidence-based resources, and has been developed with the support of a Steering Group comprising DH, RCP, BASP, Stroke Nurses Forum, NHS Institute, NHS Improvement, and the Stroke Association. The Stroke Specialist Library is part of the National Library for Health, shortly to come under the umbrella of NHS Evidence within NICE.

STARS is a free online training website that offers training in:
