The Stroke Improvement Programme worked with 37 project sites in 2009/10 on implementing the National Stroke Strategy.  The projects aimed to help clinical teams improve their service and to generate
learning to benefit others. Projects were grouped into four areas, based on sections of the strategy:
Transient Ischaemic Attack (TIA)
Acute stroke care
Transfer of care
Rehabilitation

Full case studies from the projects are available to download here.

The publication was launched at the Stroke Improvement Programme’s event Accelerating Progress in Stroke Care: Learning and Outcomes from the Stroke Improvement Programme National Projects, held at the Guoman Tower on Tuesday 22 June 10.  Presentations and project posters from the event are available.
