Access online resource here

Everyone with suspected COPD should receive an accurate and quality assured diagnosis in the early stages of the disease. Following diagnosis, patients should receive appropriate information about their condition, are placed on the correct treatment pathway and added to the practice disease register.

Through an early and quality assured diagnosis, a more comprehensive assessment of severity, effective proactive disease management and evidence based treatment interventions, lives will be saved and the burden on the resources of the NHS will be reduced.
