Fifth meeting of the national cardiac rehabilitation project
Birmingham 19 July 2011
The morning session featured an informative overview of tariff developments, the forthcoming NICE commissioning guides for cardiac rehabilitation and heart failure, and the latest from the BACPR, presented by Professor Patrick Doherty, the National Clinical Lead for CR. The remainder of the day was devoted to a stimulating review of progress with participating projects - led by project team members - and a workshop on developing key performance indicators for the Commissioning Pack.

Almost 100 delegates from across the country attended this one-day event designed to equip CR staff with some of the knowledge and skills required to successfully market cardiac rehabilitation services to patients and professionals.

Fourth meeting of the national cardiac rehabilitation project
London - 18 May 2011
A slightly shorter but nevertheless well-attended meeting for sites participating in the national CR project took place at The Ambassadors Hotel in Bloomsbury, Central London. In addition to the national update provided by Professor Patrick Doherty, the event featured an excellent example of partnership working between the North West London Cardiac and Stroke Network and the local Health Innovation and Education Cluster (HIEC) as well as an interactive session on current issues and challenges.
