Emergency and Urgent Cancer Care

Emergency cancer:

Is not always life threatening, but needs prompt assessment and a planned intervention within 24 hours

Urgent cancer:

Is a condition that requires an assessment and planned intervention within seven days, or which is likely to lead to a cancer emergency within four weeks
