Effective networks improve care for patients
NHS Networks involve commissioners, providers and service users from health and social care working together to create services that best meet the needs of the people who use them. They ensure that consistently good services are available to all who need them and also support expert commissioning as a driver for service improvement.
NHS Improvement works with cardiac and stroke Networks to test, implement, sustain and spread quantifiable improvements across the country. To get in touch with your local cardiac or stroke network download the contacts pdf.
Webinar on clinical network proposals for the modernised NHS
Over the course of the last few months, Dr Cathy McLean, Clinical Transitions Director for the Department of Health, has been leading work to develop proposals for clinical networks in the modernised NHS. The huge support for networks and interest in this project was highlighted by the overwhelming response to the recent Webinar (held on 13/2/12) on the emerging high level proposals.
